AIRPORT-SPECIFIC SOLUTION · REUSABLE DISPLAY PLATFORMS

Transparent Displays for Airports

A project-ready route for airport passenger information, wayfinding and retail environments. Transparent LED or Transparent OLED is configured around airport visibility, integration and service requirements.

Wayfinding That Keeps the Terminal Visible

Passenger directions share the glazed opening with the terminal behind it. Information stays prominent without turning the entrance into an opaque wall.

Route firstLarge arrows and gate numbers establish direction before passengers read the supporting detail.
Choices separatedBilingual labels distinguish metro, taxi, bus, e-hailing and parking within one information surface.
Sightlines retainedThe transparent field preserves movement, architecture and visual awareness beyond the display.

System implication: display, content hierarchy, viewing distance, ambient light and mounting position must be engineered together.

AIRPORT RETAIL · TRANSPARENT OLED SYSTEMS

Transparent Displays from Counter to Concourse

One platform scales from single-product showcases to a synchronized multi-panel canvas. The airport offer is configured around viewing distance, retained sightlines, content duty and service access.

Duty-free halls · lounge entrances · premium brand zones

Multi-panel Transparent OLED wall

Multiple transparent panels operate as one synchronized canvas while the architecture and activity behind the content remain visible. The same system logic can carry premium campaigns, destination content or passenger-facing information.

Counter and consultation zones

30-inch counter showcase

Moving graphics remain visually connected to a physical fragrance bottle behind the transparent screen.

Boutiques and product windows

55-inch merchandise showcase

Transparent animation adds motion and depth while bags, accessories and other physical products remain visible.

Premium lounges and presentation zones

77-inch large-format display

A larger transparent canvas for premium interiors where the display must remain visually light while carrying high-impact content.

BEFORE QUOTATION · FOUR DECISIONS

Airport Approval Gates

There is no universal airport-display certificate. The airport, installation zone, destination market and authority having jurisdiction determine the required evidence.

01 · Passenger information

What must remain readable?

Define viewing distance, information hierarchy, languages, symbols, contrast and the relationship to required signs, accessible routes and emergency messaging.

02 · Installation zone

Where does the system become part of the building?

Define mounting, circulation and egress boundaries, cable routes, service access, impact risk and the required fire or safety-glazing construction.

03 · Destination market

Which system evidence is required?

Map the complete display, controller, power and cabling configuration to the applicable product-safety, EMC, electrical and project-specific approval route.

04 · Airport operations

How will the display recover and be serviced?

Agree operating duty, monitoring, network ownership, content recovery, spares, time synchronisation and the data boundary for FIDS, BIDS, GIDS or emergency messages.

Commercial implication: the quotation must identify the installation zone, required glass class, approval route, operating duty and acceptance method. These inputs affect system configuration, evidence package, lead time and price.

Define the Airport Zone Before Selecting the Display

Share the terminal area, audience, glazing or enclosure, ambient light, content duty, operating hours, service access and quantity.

VITREVIA maps the use case to the display platform, integration scope, validation plan and commercial proposal.
